This place has awesome pizza and cheese bread. We ordered the pesto chicken and got to have the plain cheese.
Not sure why Smart Pizza doesn't have better reviews? Their pizza is high quality. Not a thin crust but a fresh pizza dough crust which I'm sure is made on order. We had a salad and a couple draft beers. Both good as well. They had a solid draft selection too. The ambiance is old school pizza vibe with a nod to the history of the area reflected by the pictures on the walls. The staff was welcoming. Solid spot. I would recommend and definitely go back.
Pizza was so good!!! It was incredibly fresh and very cheesy. The decor is so cool too. It felt like a little time capsule with all the pictures from the 50's and old rock and roll posters. Staff was friendly and service was quick. Very happy we stopped in.
The key to a great pizza is excellent crust. Smart pizza has it! The sauces and toppings are top shelf, also. If you like ham, try it here as they use real baked ham chunks, not the thin deli style composite type.
Went on a random drive to Guerneville today and found this fun little spot. Awesome, colorful front patio, all sorts of random decor, the pizza is awesome, wide beer on tap selection, fun people, good vibes. I will 100% be back. Can't recommend enough.
This lovely unapologetic popular pizza place at the river gets very busy. I was eager for a quick snack and noted that they had pizza bread and got in and out and a reasonable amount of time so if you're in a hurry and you need some quick super tasty eats. I do have to recommend the pizza bread Place is and the staff is no nonsense and straightforward which adds to its charm. Seeing the locals come to grab their pizzas and come at closing and hopes they get a pizza an hour later amusing. Everyone wants to seem to get a bite here, but do you plan ahead order ahead and get the pizza of your dreams because people do covet the pizza here. The inside is brightly decorated as well as the outdoor areas, which makes it a great place for small or large groups.
We ordered a large 1/2 pepperoni & 1/2 cheese and a medium pesto chicken to pickup. The pizza was tasty and lots of cheese. The crust was thin but the pizza edge was crunchy outside & soft with a little chew inside. The pesto chicken was yummy. The people were very nice.
Not a lot of pictures because we were so hungry, but I can definitely recommend Smart Pizza for families and friends who need a good pizza fixing during breaks in between exploring the red woods and/or Russian River. They are extremely efficient and quickly got our appetizers and pizzas ready, for 5 families! (Thanks to the owner, who was patient and had a killer sense of humor) The portions are quite good, and the flavoring of all the pizzas (pepperoni, hawaiian, combo) are solid. Thanks Smart Pizza!
